Fernando Ortiz-BarbachanoFernando Ortiz-Barbachano, CPC is President of Barbachano International and also co-founder and Principal of Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C. in Mexico.  His entrepreneurial background in formulating strategy and launching aggressive business growth campaigns in the Mexican Market brings a highly desirable value to our organization as well as his in-depth experience in Human Relations.  Fernando currently directs both Barbachano International  throughout the Americas and our sister company Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C.  in Mexico.  He has positioned both companies amongst the industry leaders in their respective categories and continues to grow the businesses in double digit numbers.  Prior to joining Barbachano International, Fernando was Sales & Marketing Director for Ernest & Julio Gallo Wine Company where he was instrumental in launching the successful market introduction of Gallo products throughout Mexico and established several brands as national category leaders.  In addition to his search expertise, Fernando also has broad experience in sales and marketing in financial services with New York Life in the United States. He earned his Bachelor degree in Business Administration - Finance from San Diego State University and has received the Certified Personnel Consultant certification by the National Association of Personnel Services.  Fernando has been quoted in the Business – Employment section of the Wall Street Journal, as well as many other publications on Mexico Employment issues and trends. He is an active member of the Western Maquiladora Trade Association, SHRM, California Staffing Professionals, and the National Association of Personnel Services.  He has established affiliations with Careernet International and NPA, and is a frequent speaker and expert on Mexico labor issues, talent acquisition, retention, and change management. fernando@bipsearch.com

Jorge RoldanJorge Roldan, CPC is Vice-President of Barbachano International. He joined the firm in 1999 to develop and grow the search practice throughout Mexico, the United States and Latin America. Jorge is a search industry veteran of more than fifteen years in the Executive Search and Manufacturing High-Tech Consumer Electronic Industries in San Diego, California, where he has been actively involved in Human Resources and Supply Chain, both domestically and internationally. Jorge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration - Marketing and is a Certified Personnel Consultant by the National Association of Personnel Services. He is actively involved in APICS and is a past Director of Public Relations (Board Member) of the Society of Human Resources in Tijuana, Mexico. Jorge is fluent in English and Spanish and has extensive experience working in environments involving Japanese, Mexican and American cultures. He has built extremely successful recruitment practices in Human Resources, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing Operations. Jorge is an industry veteran who has completed over 300 key search assignments not only in Mexico and the United States, but also throughout Latin America. Ricardo LopezRicardo Lopez-Mendia, CPC is Search Manager for the Technical practice at Barbachano International since 2001. He specializes in recruiting key technical management and specialized professionals in Engineering, Quality, Design, Continuous Improvement, Production, Maintenance, Operations and IT for Manufacturing, Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, High Tech, and Telecommunications operations. His previous professional background in Engineering, MIS and Operations management with Ingram Micro and Telmex, Latin Americas’ largest telecommunications company, has helped him build a rapidly growing technical practice throughout the Americas. Ricardo holds a masters degree in Marketing and a bachelor degree in Systems Engineering, graduating with honors from The University of The Americas and is a Certified Personnel Consultant by the National Association of Personnel Services. Ricardo is fluent in English and Spanish and is very active in technical associations like CANIETI and ASQ. Gabriel GonzalezGabriel Gonzalez-Saavedra, CPC is Executive Search Manager and Business Development Manager for Barbachano International. He leads our sales and marketing search practice including retail, consumer products, software, IT, industrial, manufacturing, heavy equipment, construction, mining and telecommunications sectors. In addition, Mr. Gonzalez-Saavedra is very active in our accounting and finance search practice. Prior to joining BIP, Gabriel held Divisional Sales and Operations leadership positions with Iusacell (a Mexico leader in Telecommunications), Kellogg Company and Cemex. As Regional Operations Director with Allied Domecq, he oversaw sales operations in six Mexican states and was a member of the company's elite international management team. Mr. Gonzalez-Saavedra holds a Masters degree in International Marketing and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from CETYS University in Mexico and is a Certified Personnel Consultant by the National Association of Personnel Services. Hector CasagrandeHector Casagrande is Managing Director for Challenger Gray & Christmas in Mexico. He has steered the company to double revenue in Mexico in the last three years. His professional experience spans over 25 years of success in diverse business sectors. Hector began his career as a Supply Chain Manager with Grupo Cetto, the second largest Mexican winery. He then moved into the financial services industry as a Regional Credit and Risk Analysis Manager for the National Exterior Commerce Bank and then with Banco Santander as Government Sector Director. He was also involved as Business Development Manager in the residential real estate development industry for Grupo PromoCasa, and for eight years was Mexico National Sales Director for Multinational Accounts at AT&T / Alestra. He has a Master's degree in Human Resources from CETYS University and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He is also an active Board Member of the Human Resource Association of Tijuana, Mexico and has been a member of the Mexican Association of Business Administrators. Rosa Nelly RamirezRosa Nelly Ramirez is Director for Northeastern Mexico for Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C. She recently joined our firm to lead in the expansion of our outplacement practice in North Eastern Mexico. She has a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Universidad de Monterrey, a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in English-Spanish Translation at Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. She has certifications in Team Building from the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science in Bethel, Maine and is certified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner. In addition Rosa is trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Emotional Intelligence.
Rosa has over 23 years experience in human resources including several management assignments in the human resource field with Delphi and Delco Electronics, and the founding of Scala Consultores in 1994, a well established training and organizational development firm in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico. Rosa is an expert at facilitating “team building” and leadership competency development programs and working with diverse and multi-cultural groups in Mexico and the U.S., including private companies and many Fortune 500 organizations.
She is a member of ASTD, the American Society of Training and Development. She frequently works as a volunteer lecturer at different universities and community service organizations. Carmina FloresCarmina Flores is Director of Training and Development at Barbachano International and for our Outplacement program counseling at our affiliate Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C.  She has a Bachelors in Industrial Psychology and studies in Human Development at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City. She holds a Degree in Total Quality Management from San Diego State University.  She is a former President of the Industrial Psychologists Association in Mexico, past President of the Training Commission and member of the Board of Directors of the Mexico Entrepreneurial Center - Coparmex.   Her experience includes holding Vice President and Director level positions in Human Resources and Organizational Development for companies like General Electric, Banco del Atlantico, and Seguros Olmeca (Allstate), as well as her own Organizational Development and Profile Assessment practice for over 15 years.  She has been a lecturer in the areas of Personnel Selection and Training, Organizational Development, Interviewing Techniques, and Human Relation subjects in numerous Universities throughout Mexico. carmina@bipsearch.com

Francisco Glennie is Managing Director of the Mexico City branch for our sister company, Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Industrial Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana and later received a post graduate degree in Top Management & Leadership from IPADE in Mexico City in 1986.  His professional experience totals more than 35 years in Human Resources in world class corporations.  Francisco started his HR career with Ford Motor Company where he worked various years both in their assembly plants and at their corporate headquarters.  In 1978, Francisco joined Anderson Clayton & Co. as their VP of HR and Public Relations for over 10 years, the last two under Unilever’s new ownership.  Afterwards he joined Sabritas (part of the Pepsico Group) as their VP of Human Resources and later became VP of Industrial Relations for Grupo Apasco, leaders in the cement industry.  In 1996, he was invited again to be part of the Pepsico Group as their Director of Human Resources for Latin America Region for Frito Lay and subsequently promoted to VP of HR for Pepsico de Mexico.  In the year 2000, Francisco founded "Glennie & Associates Consultants" as their President and owner.  Glennie is affiliated with Challenger Gray & Christmas S.C. and represents Challenger in the Mexico City branch.  In addition, Francisco is a member of the board of directors, President of the nomination and compensation committee, and a member of the Audit Committee for Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico. glennie@cgc-mexico.com
