Description:
Operating as a front line member of a cross functional team, strategically responsible for identifying costumers needs; Strategic sourcing , Evaluating global sourcing options; Benchmarking ,Localization to Mexico, Low cost country sourcing , Analyze process , material and design changes . Analyzing data & factors affecting pricing to determinate lowest cost consistent with Quality and Service Standards; Effective negotiation, New Product pricing, Directed Buy , Contracting (Yearly & Long Term Negotiations, tooling contracts) & Purchasing for Finished Goods. Responsible for supplier management & supplier metrics.
Job Main Functions:
- To lead the negotiation for local commodities with the end goal to establish conditions of services and price with raw materials and direct material suppliers based on established cost and quality targets.
- Ensures that the supply base meets quality system requirements. In addition, ensures that the supply base is meeting targets for delivery, lead time and cost reduction.
- Monitor and maintain PPV (Purchase Price Variance ) Results.
- To coordinate changes in existing products, and to support the introduction of new suppliers.
- Supports the inventory reduction levels through negotiations.
- Follow de safety rules to avoid accidents, professional illness and environmental contingencies within the plant.
- Notification of any unsafe act or condition and any environmental risks detected in the plant.
- Participate in the emergency response plans.
