Our client is a global provider of electronic payments solutions for the world's top financial institutions, retailers and payment processors offering an exciting opportunity for a Regional Project Director to oversee and support our Mexico & Latin America team.

 

The Project Director manages the business relationship and delivery aspects of projects between the customer, company’s entities, internal departments/groups, and third-party vendors. Responsible for the definition, scheduling, controlling, and successful completion of tasks necessary for the overall success of the project and contract execution.                                                                                                                  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Understands and executes the terms of the customer and third-party vendor contracts. Works with sales, customer, and legal to draft amendments and new contracts based upon project requirements. Submits proper contract addenda to customer for various companies’ services.
  • Manages/interfaces with company, customer, and third-party project manager(s), tech leads, network contacts, escalation contacts, and various levels of customer and company’s management.
  • Monitors overall project activity including project schedules, project deliverables, communication meetings, and adherence to company’s standards. Works to solve project issues. Assists with the definition of project schedules and deliverables.
  • Handles correspondence to and from customer during project cycle. Keeps all staff up to date on the project. Provides weekly/monthly project status report to customer as required. Receives weekly status reports from key project personnel.
  • Monitors and/or completes monthly billing summaries for project activities based on revenue schedules of contract. Monitors and assists in collection of any outstanding Accounts Receivable.
  • Schedules/acquires appropriate resources to fulfill on-site support activities. Schedules and completes account turnover to Account Management division at project completion. Maintains excellent working knowledge for company’s product lines.
  • Provides business support for systems integration projects. Identifies and manages project risk, analyzes project structure and expertise requirements, and assembles the project team.
  • Supports the sales effort by creating project proposal information, presentations, and participates in sales meetings representing the company.
  • Does mentoring of region’s project managers.

Minimum Requirements Needed:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five (7) years project leader or related experience.
  • At least five (5) years of customer business (sales, proposals, and support) experience.
  • At least three (3) years of administrative management experience.
  • Payment systems or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects throughout the Latin America Region
  • Ability to travel in Latin America and to the domestic U.S. up to 90% of the time.
  • PMI certified or in process of receiving related certifications highly desired.
  • Prior experience managing IT related projects preferred.
  • Experience implementing ISM methodology highly desired.
  • Prior experience managing financial projects, budgeting and P&L preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Portuguese preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills. Strong planning/organizing skills.
