Our client is the world leader in grooved and plain-end mechanical pipe joining systems in search for an Industrial Business Development Manager that will focus on developing the vertical market of Biofuels market in Brazil for all of the company's engineered products and solutions by calling on consultants, owners, contractors and supporting the local Victaulic distributors.

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • All sales efforts within the respective region for the Biofuels market.
  • To develop large A/E, E&C, EPC, Design Construct, Industrial Contractors and Owner accounts with business activities focused in the region for which assigned. Accounts with key Biofuels interests (sugarcane, alcohol, ethanol, biodiesel, plastics, food processing, etc.) and projects such as Cosan, Shell, BP, Santelisa Vale, Dow, ADM, etc. will be primary targets.
  • Development of these accounts will include establishing initial meetings, focusing on value-selling total cost of ownership, calendar-day savings and the constructability advantages through the use of Company’s products and services on the full scope of work of facilities.
  • Professionally communicate and coordinate all related commercial issues and activities with the appropriate Regional Managers and other relevant Company resources in the respective region or globally as required.
  • Fulfill all corporate administrative requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a qualified priority project list maintained within the Company’s Siebel program. 
  • Establish and maintain a target account list. This list shall include the top Owners, EPC’s, A/E’s, and industrial contractors and related contacts within each account. These accounts must be updated and maintained within the Company’s Siebel program.
  • Develop customized value-added proposals and presentations focusing on below the line or indirect savings.
  • Submit weekly reports and monthly account development highlights as extracted from Siebel activities.
  • Develop and update strategic accounts plans and programs for all key accounts to include: Knowledge Base of Proof Sources and Testimonials, Customer classification based on priorities and opportunity assessment and Activity plan for account development.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Five years or more of related work within the BIOFUELS MARKET.
  • Business development experience in the industrial market with knowledge of industrial Owners, EPC’s, A/E’s and industrial contractors.
  • Familiarity with Company’s products and the intrinsic benefit to our clients.
  • Construction Management experience, industrial estimating and or piping design experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the pipe estimating information, practices and sources.
  • Familiarity with pipe fabrication.
  • Knowledge of industrial contracts and proposals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools and familiar with Seibel or similar tool.
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year institution. Bachelor of Science degree with concentration in, engineering, construction or business management is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills – Portuguese and English
  • Strong record of achievements indicating sales performance, leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Mature well-rounded individual with an outgoing personality.  Strong work ethic, good communication skills both verbally and written. Self-starter, striving to be the best.  Enjoys working with people, above average ability to problem solve, a team leader.  Solid technical background coupled with management skills.
  • Extensive overnight travel will be required (60% +).
