Our client is a top three global player in product market share and is currently seeking a Lean/continuous Improvement Manager to oversee the design and implementation of all lean initiatives for their Juarez, Mexico plant. - Will motivate and train co-workers (on the manufacturing shop floor and in offices) in continuing the on-going Lean transformation. - Ensure Key performance Indicators are being collected regularly. - Communicate (written and oral) status of lean implementation with employees and ensures progress and milestones are being achieved as outlined in the work plan. - Assist with resolving conflicts and barriers preventing completion of tasks. - Coordinate Lean Implementation team meetings and ensure team cohesiveness in the assigned areas. - Evaluate and sign-off other Managers for Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt Certification. - Provide day-to-day communication/follow-up with team members. Stress a positive work environment. - Assure entire facility understands the benefit possible when Lean is a way of life, not just another plan. -- Share the goals with the entire plant so that each employee realizes the importance of his/her job. - Disseminate all information on upcoming Kaizen events and encourage involvement. - Stress our ultimate goal; to build world-class products utilizing world-class techniques. - Facilitate continuous improvement through use of all tools available. Change management paradigms. - The time spent on this job should be balanced between process applications and new process implementation and training. Other functional areas: Review the functional areas of the company as well (finance, human resources etc).  Reports to Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

 

  • The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in "hands-on" manufacturing with particular emphasis on implementation of Lean and Six Sigma tools and concepts.
  • MUST have Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is required. 
  • Previous experience in a similar LEAN and Continuous Improvement Manager role in Mexico is  required.
  • MUST have experience in Medical devices Validations.
  • Prior process improvement experience through use of Lean tools and Kaizen.
  • Previous Manufacturing Engineering experience required. Plant Operations daily management experience is a plus. 
  • Must have a vocation for training.  Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, policy deployment, is a plus.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Ideal candidate will be resilient, possess solid emotional intelligence, problem solving skills and results-orientation.  Must be able to influence direction both up stream and down stream.
