Description:
Oversee and direct the QA Program, Food Safety Program and laboratory personnel. Maintain a working relationship with Regulatory Inspectors and Third Party Auditors to ensure compliance to standards. Maintain accurate and current product formulations and manufacturing protocols for all products manufactured here. Monitor, through auditing, inspection, sampling and testing - incoming ingredients, processing, packaging and sanitation, to ensure the safety and quality of all finished goods. The incumbent will manage the operation of the companys quality systems.
As key member of the management team, the Quality Assurance Manager will help to ensure that best manufacturing practices are followed, while ensuring that corrective actions are identified whenever our products or processes fall short of our expectations.
The ideal candidate must enjoy problem solving as part of a team and have the ability to constructively challenge both your peers and our systems.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience managing quality systems and teams, ideally in a meat processing plant.
Must have experience in Food Manufacturing
Must have leadership experience in Quality
Plus if candidate has experience in Production Operations leadership
Must be familiar with USDA laws and regulations
Must have knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
Should be familiar with Safe Quality Food (SQF) program
Need strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
