Summary:
Our client is a major worldwide leader in its market sector with great brand reputation. This multi-billion company seeks a Senior Manufacturing Controller to be responsible for overseeing all finance and IS activities for the manufacturing plants in Mexico.
Essential functions:
Direct and coordinate activities related to the following:
- Monthly financial closing, analysis, consolidation, and reporting
- Collaborate with Corporate, Segment, and GBU leadership for Manufacturing, Business, and functional areas
- Foreign exchange forecasting, reporting, and strategy deployment (if applicable)
- Lead strategic and restructuring activities impacting Mexico plants
- Oversees balance sheet integrity and overall compliance efforts
- Leads annual standard product cost process
- Budgets and analyzes group expenses
- Directs and approves annual budget process, inclusive of preparation, consolidation, and presentation
- Participates on initiatives related to systems development, implementation, and maintenance
- Responsible for preservation of assets / internal controls (SOX)
- Business partner for Manufacturing and Business Leadership
- Develops and manages finance and information systems teams at the plants
- Manages capital and inventory processes to optimize cash flow
- Responsible for financial oversight and technical guidance related to the manufacturing sites
- Ad hoc requests and initiatives as required
Minimum requirements:
- Undergraduate degree (four year or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting required
- Advanced business degree and/or accounting certifications preferred
- 10 - 15 years of experience in accounting / finance with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in a Plant Controllership role in a large manufacturing operation, preferably Mexico
- Plant Controllership experience at multiple sites in a global role
- Lean and/or Operational Excellence training and certification
- Proven track record of organizational success
- Ensures high standards of integrity and data accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with English fluency
- Managing to multiple changing business priorities
- Drives to deliver financial and non-financial results

- Working knowledge of plant enterprise, financial, and Microsoft Office systems
- Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, and local Mexico statutory regulations)
- Strong financial analysis and planning and standard cost accounting experience
- Ability to hire, train, motivate, and develop effective teams
