The premier outplacement company
Sharp economic fluctuations, fierce competition and dynamic fast changing markets are increasingly the cause for restructuring, downsizing and even eliminating entire divisions. Employee terminations, many times, are the results of efforts to position a company for future growth, expansion and competitiveness. Every organization finds from time to time it is necessary to release employees. To overcome this problem, Challenger, Gray & Christmas conceived of the idea of outplacement over 40 years ago.
As the Mexico market grew in its global interdependence and markets continued to change more rapidly, The Barbachano Group, recognized the need for easing the transition of terminated employees in Mexico. As a result, we partnered with Challenger Gray & Christmas and opened offices in Mexico City and in the Tijuana/San Diego border. We have offices around the world and our worldwide headquarters are in Chicago. Our President, Fernando Ortiz-Barbachano, Francisco Glennie, Mexico City office Managing Partner, and Carmina Flores, Director of Consulting, are in charge of directing all of Challenger, Gray & Christmas Outplacement Services in the Mexican territory.
Here are several factors we would like you to be aware of about our firm:
- Since its inception, Challenger Mexico has been very successful at providing outplacement services to prestigious companies like Ericsson, Danone & Pepsico in Mexico City, NEC/Mitsubishi and Emerson Electric in Mexicali, Acco and Noma in Nogales, Sara Lee in Monterrey, and Jabil Circuits and HSBC in Tijuana, amongst many others.
- Full-time professionals provide Challenger outplacement services in Mexico.
- We are a disciplined corporation and not a franchise organization. This places a large amount of corporate assets at your disposal.
- We believe in a highly personalized product, which produces results. Over 90% of our clients are employed at equal or better paying positions.
- We have provided outplacement service to over 75% of the Fortune 500 companies.
- All initial training will be conducted in the home city or surrounding cities of the person involved in the program.
When outplacement is provided by our organization we can assist you in several ways:
- We are able to gain the trust of the individual. Once we gain their trust we are able to direct them positively ahead toward their next opportunity.
- We are able to point out to them the desire of the corporation to help them through this difficult process.
- By changing their attitude toward the release and then giving them positive direction, we can focus their energy on the future and not the past.
- We can help you retain valued employees by demonstrating that you care enough about your former employees to help those persons you are releasing. When you have downsized, you do not want employees that remain to think they should start looking for a better company.
We encourage you to consider the use of outplacement as an effective tool for change. We are prepared to provide these services at any location. There is no charge for using our help in planning a release and you will find that we have a variety of programs to help you.
Our programs include pre-termination consultation to our customer, change management, employee counseling at termination, and an outplacement training program. There are three programs: Executive, Select Individual, and Group. Below are the program summaries.
