THE POSITION

Objective (Brief Summary): Responsible for maintaining the Mexican accounting system and ensuring compliance with current laws and policies.

Main Activities and Responsibilities (Please list starting with the most important one):

• Responsible for preparing financial information on costs and expenses for decision-making.
• Coordinate and authorize the preparation of reports for various government agencies (municipal, state, and federal).
• Responsible for the Mexican financial system and its integration with the corporate accounting system.
• Advise management on necessary adjustments due to changes in tax laws.
• Coordinate company accounting audits with the firms designated by the corporate office.
• Oversee the coverage of insurance required to protect against potential losses and liabilities.
• Control operating budgets.
• Analyze cost and expense variances versus budget.
• Verify banking transactions and activities.
• Coordinate the audit of physical inventories.
• Responsible for the training and continuous improvement of assigned personnel to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Responsible for the monthly interface policy between the Mexican accounting system and the corporate accounting system.
• Administrator of Payroll and Accounting systems.
• Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Supervise Accounts Payable.
• Approve purchase requisitions for expenses.
• Effectively manage the Integrated Management System ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 through compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and voluntarily adopted requirements.
• Ensure the availability of resources to design, implement, maintain, and improve the Integrated Management System ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
• Support and actively contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the Protocol for Cases of Violence, Harassment, or Discrimination, as well as NOM-035-STPS-2018 – Psychosocial Risk Factors.
• Execute and comply with the guidelines defined by the Protocol for Cases of Violence, Harassment, or Discrimination and NOM-035-STPS-2018 – Psychosocial Risk Factors.

THE CANDIDATE

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant or related degree.
• Knowledge of tax and legal matters, including procedures with various government agencies.
• 5 years in a similar position.
• Experience in conducting physical inventories.
• Teamwork.
• High sense of responsibility with a results-oriented approach.
• Bilingual: fluent in spoken English and proficient in reading, understanding, and writing technical texts.
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, capable of bending, stooping, and crouching
• Responsible for maintaining the Mexican accounting system and ensuring compliance with current laws and policies.
