THE POSITION
We have been retained to find an accomplished Multi-Site Operations Manager who will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of three plant operations within the Quick Coupling Division. Overseeing three Plant Managers, this role ensures alignment with the companies’ Win Strategy, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth across all facilities. The Operations Manager is a key member of the divisional leadership team, directly influencing long-term strategy while delivering measurable results. The Multi-Ssite Operations Manager will drive safety improvements, drive OPEX and lean culture development, and successful production transfers. This role reports to the Divisional General Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional manufacturing operations to achieve divisional and corporate goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Customer Focus: Champion premier customer service by ensuring world-class quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Lean Deployment: Drive Lean initiatives across all facilities, embedding continuous improvement and asset management practices into daily operations.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee plant operations in production, process engineering, inventory management, scheduling, logistics, and shipping/receiving to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring plants operate within constraints while meeting profitability and growth targets.
- Market Awareness: Maintain knowledge of competitive conditions within relevant markets and regions, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Talent Development: Provide strong leadership to Plant Managers and their teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, building a culture of accountability, empowerment, and results.
- Representation: Act as the divisional representative for plant operations, collaborating closely with senior leadership, customers, distributors, and cross-functional teams.
THE CANDIDATE
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, operations, supply chain, or a related technical field required; MBA preferred.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 7 years in operations leadership with direct P&L and budgetary responsibility.
- Proven success in roles such as Plant Manager, Director of Operations, Manufacturing Director/Leader, Sr. Business Unit Manager, Multi-Site Operations Manager or similar.
- Able to grow at least one level above this role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple facilities and deliver results in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Experience with demand planning, workforce planning, and KPI management.
- Successful record of accomplishment in plant operations and driving change.
- Solid knowledge of production scheduling, planning, quality, and materials control.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience with production transfers / product transfers from one location to another.
- Demonstrated success driving Lean and continuous improvement.
- Experience working with union facilities is a plus (not required).

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- Able to travel up to 25% to 40% of time.
