THE POSITION
We are seeking a Corporate Human Resources Director to serve as a trusted business partner for executive leadership and operations. This role reports directly to the President and is a key member of the Executive Team.
The Corporate HR Director is both strategic and highly hands-on, a leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, spending time in the plants, partnering closely with operations, and executing while building scalable HR systems and processes. This role will lead the transformation of HR programs, technology, and talent practices while strengthening employee engagement, leadership capability, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the Executive Team, contributing to business strategy and organizational planning
- Act as a true business partner to operations, with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments and workforce dynamics
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support operational goals and long-term growth
- Lead workforce planning, organizational design, job architecture, and performance standards
- Drive company-wide HR programs including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, salary review, safety, disability management, and organizational change
- Play a key role in supporting and helping restructure EH&S programs in partnership with operations and safety leadership
- Lead and manage employee relations matters with sound judgment, credibility, and discretion
- Facilitate restructures, redeployments, and staffing adjustments as business needs evolve
- Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, establishing trust, respect, and influence
- Identify, assess, and elevate high-potential talent; strengthen succession planning and leadership pipelines
- Drive robust training and development initiatives, including leadership development, skills training, and employee development programs
- Coach leaders and employees on management effectiveness, communication, professionalism, and conflict resolution
- Lead HR technology initiatives, including HRIS and payroll implementation, digitization, and automation of HR processes
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing, responsive HR team
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and international employment laws and regulations
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies

You are a seasoned HR leader with a strong operational mindset and the ability to influence and partner at all levels of the organization. You thrive in industrial manufacturing environments and balance executive-level strategy with day-to-day execution.
You are known for building credibility quickly, earning trust through action, and serving as a steady, respected advisor to leadership and employees alike.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in multi-site environments
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience (automotive preferred; 24/3 operations)
- Demonstrated success implementing HR technology, digitizing processes, and driving HR transformation
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and workforce challenges
- Proven ability to identify, develop, and elevate high-potential talent
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience with global workforce issues; Mexican labor law and unions a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel to Mexico
