Their multidisciplinary team combining solar experts, engineers, and innovators, work across the United States and abroad to accelerate the clean energy transition.
THE POSITION
We are hiring a senior-level full-time position based in Mexico to serve as Global Process Owner for Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and lead our Mexico-based sourcing and contract manufacturing strategy. This role will drive P2P process design and optimization, enforce compliance standards, and serve as the supply chain lead for NetSuite, Arena, and related digital systems. This is a high-accountability role for a systems thinker with proven supply chain execution experience, who understands the interplay between policy, process, and performance and can apply those skills in a cross-border, fast-growth environment. You will partner closely with Finance, IT, Legal, and regional stakeholders to build a more compliant, automated, and intelligent P2P foundation, while also developing a resilient, cost-effective sourcing footprint in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
Global Process Ownership – Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Define and optimize P2P workflows from requisition through invoice approval, including routing, approval thresholds, and exception handling
- Analyze transactional data and compliance metrics to surface inefficiencies, non-compliance, and process risk
- Identify and implement targeted process improvements to reduce cycle times, increase first-pass match rates, and minimize manual intervention
- Train internal stakeholders (Procurement, Operations, AP, and requestors) on policies, tools, and best practices to ensure global adoption
- Develop compliance and audit controls; flag areas of risk and implement mitigations
- Track and report P2P process performance through dashboards and KPIs
Systems Implementation – NetSuite, Arena, and Related Tools
- Serve as supply chain lead for system rollout and stabilization (NetSuite ERP, Arena PLM, future procurement tools)
- Own process documentation and training materials for P2P workflows in each system
- Support user training, change management, and adoption across teams and functions
- Drive ongoing support and maintenance of supply chain data—ensuring high accuracy of item masters, vendor records, and transactional coding
- Identify opportunities for AI integration (e.g., invoice classification, vendor risk signals, compliance prompts) and partner with IT to scope solutions
Mexico Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Strategy
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contract manufacturers across fabrication, mechanical systems, and assembly
- Analyze landed cost advantages based on tariffs, duties, and trade frameworks (e.g., USMCA)
- Identify and assess government incentives available for manufacturing or export operations in Mexico
- Conduct regional risk analysis (regulatory, bureaucratic, labor, and logistics) and propose mitigation strategies
- Develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply in case of cross-border disruptions
- Act as local point of contact for onboarding, setup, and escalation with Mexican suppliers
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the central link between Procurement, AP, IT, Legal, and Manufacturing to align policy, tools, and vendor strategy
- Document and socialize SOPs for P2P execution, Mexico-specific sourcing workflows, and system touchpoints
- Report progress, blockers, and actionable insights to executive stakeholders
THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in global supply chain, procurement operations, or systems implementation roles
- Proven experience owning or optimizing global P2P processes, including compliance, controls, and policy governance
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems (NetSuite and Arena strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with cross-border sourcing, contract manufacturing, and Mexico-specific supply chain dynamics
- Strong analytical and data skills; able to derive process insights from transaction history and system data
- Track record of developing SOPs, training programs, and stakeholder enablement materials
- Fluent in Spanish and English; excellent communication and process documentation skills
- Based in Mexico or able to travel regularly throughout Mexico; prior experience with US-based teams preferred
Preferred
- Prior consulting or project-based transformation experience
- Exposure to solar, clean tech, industrial, or hardware-intensive supply chains
- Knowledge of AI use cases in P2P or supply chain operations (e.g., classification, nudges, auto-coding)
- Experience designing or evaluating government incentive programs or maquiladora-based strategies
