Our client is a major diversified global manufacturer and solutions provider with annual revenue of nearly $8 billion. It specializes in producing high-performance and engineered solutions and components for critical applications in various industries including oil and gas, power generation, aerospace and industrial manufacturing. Our client currently seeks a Senior Finance Business Partner for their business unit comprising of manufacturing and after-market service operations.
THE POSITION
In this role, you are the business unit’s Financial Leader, a key business advisor and manager leading the team that interprets, reports on, and helps drive financial results. This is a hybrid position- work remotely 2 days a week (if you’d like) and onsite 3 days a week in our South Houston location, near Pearland, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Operate as the Financial Leader for a Business Unit, reporting to the CFO and partnering with the Vice President, and cross-functionally to develop strategies to grow the business and meet short-term and long-term goals.
- Lead 1 or 2 direct reports and partner cross-functionally to produce monthly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts that drive results, supporting company objectives.
- Work closely with commercial team to evaluate sales plans, prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts, generate upside and downside risk profiles based upon customer and market insights.
- Monitor achievement against variable sales and compensation plans to align with performance outputs including bonus programs, sales incentive programs, rebates, and commissions.
- Manage financial pulse, risk & opportunity intelligence, and expenditures including developing Annual STRAT and AOP Forecast.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operating conditions of the department, finance function and overall business operations.
- Monitor results against developed budgets. Collaborate with Site Leadership to deliver results within budgetary considerations.
- Monitor expense trends for research and development including involvement with new product development projections and ROI computations.
- Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with delivery of desired service level to the business.
- Support the planning and integration of acquired businesses into the organization.
- Develop consistent framework for financial processes and leverage best practices.
- Promote Continuous Improvement culture. Utilize CI methods to raise accuracy (quality), improve processing time, and enhance reporting. Work to increase employee productivity through elimination of redundant activities, root cause investigations, and automation.
- Perform analysis and special projects on an as needed basis to support the business unit.
- For service division, manage month end accounting close according to GAAP.
THE CANDIDATE
- Will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Will come with 10+ years’ experience in financial analysis and/or accounting roles supporting manufacturing and/or manufactured goods’ service industries. Experience should include business partnership, forecasting, and operational analysis, such as pricing and revenue analysis.
- Have advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel and MS Office with additional technology strengths in ERPs and data analytical tools.
- Possess strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% to business unit sites and corporate office.

Preferable qualifications:
- Master’s Degree.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and/or supervising others.
