THE POSITION

The Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling the company’s products throughout the Western US. The ideal candidate is a motivated and persistent salesperson capable of fostering strong client relationships and achieving profitable growth. Success in this role requires market knowledge, client focus, and the ability to meet ambitious revenue goals in a competitive landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across California, Oregon, Colorado, and Arizona, focusing on retailers, distributors, and foodservice companies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Product Promotion: Present and promote a wide range of fresh produce products to potential clients, emphasizing the company’s unique value proposition.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor activity, leveraging insights to enhance sales strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Industry Experience:

  • Proven track record in sales, ideally within the fresh produce sector or related fields such as food distribution or grocery retail.
  • Familiarity with regional markets, particularly California, Oregon, Colorado, and Arizona, with 3+ years of sales experience and a deep understanding of industry dynamics.

Sales and Relationship-Building Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients, including retailers and foodservice companies.
  • Proactive in pursuing new business, skilled in consultative selling to effectively communicate the company’s unique value proposition.

Analytical and Market Insight:

  • Proficient in market research and staying informed about trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences, leveraging insights to drive sales strategies.
  • Skilled in using CRM systems to manage client data, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities within the assigned territory.

Organizational Skills and Self-Management:

  • Highly organized and disciplined, able to manage multiple accounts while ensuring proactive client engagement and follow-up.
  • Works effectively in a remote or hybrid setting with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and strong time management.
