THE POSITION
The Associate Director of Credit and Collections is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing global Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable activities, based at our Monterrey, Nuevo León location. This highly visible position works closely with teams around the world, as well as executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders, to drive cash performance, manage financial risk, and support global business strategy.
You will lead regional Credit & Collection and AR teams across multiple geographies, define global strategy across the order-to-cash lifecycle, and collaborate daily with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Operations partners worldwide. As a trusted advisor and change leader, you will influence decision-making at the highest levels while maintaining a strong on-site presence in Monterrey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing global and regional Credit, Collections, and AR leaders, with a strong focus on talent development and succession planning
- Managing the global accounts receivable lifecycle, including KPIs, SLAs, forecasting, and performance reporting across regions
- Partnering regularly with global executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders, including Segment CFOs, to assess risks and opportunities, analyze results, and forecast future performance
- Supporting sales initiatives through effective credit strategies that balance growth and risk across diverse markets
- Providing technical leadership on contracts, credit programs, collateral compliance, and lien perfection in partnership with Legal across regions
- Participating in complex collections matters such as restructurings, bankruptcies, and key global customer engagements
- Driving cross-functional, cross-regional improvements across the order-to-cash process
- Representing Accounts Receivable in acquisitions, integrations, and ERP or system transformations on a global scale
- Serving as onsite Office Manager and a key resource for employees at the Monterrey location
THE CANDIDATE
You are a proven global Credit and AR leader who thrives in international, matrixed environments. You are comfortable leading and influencing teams across time zones, cultures, and functions, and you bring the executive presence needed to engage with senior leadership worldwide.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor’s degree
- Certified Credit designation preferred
- 12+ years of Commercial Credit and Accounts Receivable experience
- 10+ years of people leadership experience
- Global experience strongly preferred
- Public company experience strongly preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus
- Financial industry experience a plus
- Experience with GETPAID, SAP, and/or JDE systems a plus
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
