Sr Continuous Improvement Manager

THE COMPANY

Barbachano International has been retained to seek a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager for our client, a global design, engineering, and manufacturing company that sells product solutions to the white goods, EV & Commercial industries, as well as adjacent markets and after-sales channels. Our client manufactures more than 10,000 sophisticated controls for commercial and home appliances. Primary applications include controls for clothes washers and dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, electric and gas cooking, ice makers, fluid dispensing, storage water heaters, gas valves for space/central heating, and automotive/off road temperature and fluid controls. Their global headquarters is located very near to Chicago, Illinois, USA. The company employs over 6,000 employees in 14 countries, has 3 engineering centers, and 12 manufacturing locations.

THE POSITION

The Senior Continuous Improvement Manager will establish and maintain a Continuous Improvement Culture and processes within the Organization to achieve annual goals.

• Will lead process improvement initiatives through metrics, accountability, analysis, and discussions of process alternatives to achieve best practices.
• Plan and control the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment. Identify subject matter experts to support cross-functional efforts in process improvement, obtain and analyze data, infrastructure support, tool ownership, and procedure compliance, among others.
• Advise groups by providing strategic direction for prioritizing initiatives, integrating, and applying resources.
• Identify and establish training programs that support the achievement of goals.
• Ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Monitor capital expenditures to ensure projects are executed according to the Business Plan.
• Manage multiple concurrent improvement projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

THE CANDIDATE

• B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
• Master’s degree highly preferred
• +3 years in a Continuous Improvement Manager role with 8 years of experience in a process improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt preferred
• Strong Project Management skills with ability to motivate others
• Proven ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team
