THE POSITION
We are seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer who is analytical, hands-on, and passionate about process optimization. The ideal candidate thrives in high-volume manufacturing, has strong leadership skills, and can guide engineers and interns while influencing cross-functional teams. A solid understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and manufacturing systems is essential. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will drive operational improvements, implement Lean practices, and support new product launches.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
- Mentoring engineers and interns, providing training on Lean/Six Sigma tools.
- Analyzing production data to improve machine capabilities, process reliability, and efficiency.
- Supporting new product launches, including trials, documentation, and follow-up activities.
- Driving Kaizen events and cross-functional projects to deliver measurable cost savings and efficiency gains.
- Collaborating with management and teams to track project progress and results.
THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 – 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred).
- Experience with facility/layout design, injection molding, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office; CAD/Fusion 360 and 3D printing knowledge preferred.
