THE POSITION
Job Position Summary:
Our client seeks a senior Plant Manager who will manage this large manufacturing facility in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to achieve all operational milestones and goals that complies with their corporate vision included but not limited to safety, quality, customer service, cost, asset management, and human resources development while maintaining a key internal and external relationships including to staff support groups and customers. Develop a high performing team. Lead a cultural change. This position reports to VP of Manufacturing based in the USA.
Essential Job Functions:
- Customers: Customer service function, distribution centers, and end users.
- Customer Expectations: Operations to achieve exceptional and consistent service fill rate by providing a defect-free, cost-effective product, according to customer expectations.
- Maintain an accident free and safe workplace environment for employees, customers, and suppliers working and/or visiting the plant and warehouse(s).
- Provide leadership for Loss Control Management in support of Product and Healthcare Services sector and corporate objectives.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and sector controls, policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in multi-functional business teams and provide leadership in the development of business unit initiatives pertaining to product lines in the plant.
- Be recognized as a change agent implementing and evolving lean manufacturing processes and high-performance work teams.
- Identify and complete continuous improvement projects objectives.
- Coach functional managers and high-performance work-team-leaders to coordinate the orientation, training and development of team members to enhance their present performance and prepare them for advancement.
- Advocate system development and enhancements to support long term goals of Products and Health Care Services Manufacturing.
- Be an advocate and champion for LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement activities.

- Ensure application of established Corporate financial controls within the facility by providing operating management direction and support to the implementation and maintenance of financial policies, instructions, and internal control procedures.
- Establish and maintain working conditions and high levels of housekeeping, appearance, physical conditions, and sanitation with positive employee attitudes that will ensure full compliance with government regulations and corporate policies and achievement of safety and good manufacturing practices objectives. Develop and maintain high levels of quality awareness that will ensure conformance to product specifications.
- Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations environment that will result in all employees considering their plant a fair and equitable place of employment with opportunity for personal development and advancement.
- Support the facility’s QMS policy and compliance by contributing to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System effectiveness. The QMS requirements include the Corporate Quality Management System Requirements, FDA, 21 CFR 820 – USA, ISO13485:2016, MDSAP, NOM-241-SSA1-2012, EU MDR 2017/745, European Community (MDD93/42/EEC) – Europa, Canadian Medical Device Regulations SOR/98-282 – Canada, ANVISA Resolution RDC 665/2022 – Brazil, Therapeutic Good Act – Australia, MHLW MO 169 – Japan and other regulations.

Supplemental Job Functions:
EHS Activities
- Support the facility’s EHS policy; comply with all local EHS legislation and codes; identify report, investigation and address any EHS substandard acti and/or conditions and drive the setting of EHS objective and evaluate the effectiveness of the EHS Management.
THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- +7 Years as Plant Manager or similar with successful management of a major manufacturing unit or large plant (500+ employees). Textile or cut & sew experience a plus.
- Strong lean manufacturing background.
- Plant Manager must have strong shop floor management and be hands-on.
- The position requires broad knowledge and extensive experience in business management including P&L management and budget elaboration and control, and CAPEX.
- Experience with regulated supplies manufacturing (highly desirable).
- Experience with unions including negotiations.
- EHS management system familiarity preferred.
- The incumbent must have the ability to set strategic vision for the site, organize and plan, delegate responsibility and authority, lead and motivate people, and maintain effective control.
- Ideal candidate practices accountability and possess the values of integrity excellence, and active listening.
- Capable of leading a cultural change.
- Bachelor’s University degree required. Prefer industrial engineering or similar.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of SAP / ERP. MS Office. Workday. Concur and other similar packages are preferred.
