THE POSITION
The Director of Operations will oversee multi-site warehousing and fulfillment operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and quality. Reporting directly to the VP of Warehousing & Fulfillment, this position is responsible for managing inbound, outbound, inventory control, and cross-docking activities while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a leader who thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and can lead diverse teams, standardize processes, and consistently meet service-level agreements.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on safety, team development, and financial performance, requiring innovation and adaptability to evolving challenges.
Main Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
- Manage daily operations, including inbound/outbound processes, inventory control, and cross-docking.
- Standardize and optimize processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitor and improve KPIs, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership
- Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
- Reduce turnover, provide training, and foster career development for employees.
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance.
Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure SLA adherence and seamless onboarding of new clients.
- Act as the primary liaison for key clients, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with other departments to develop long-term operational strategies.
- Drive process innovation and technological upgrades to improve efficiency and scalability.
Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets and P&L statements to ensure profitability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Compliance and Safety
- Maintain adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and safety reviews to ensure a secure work environment.
THE CANDIDATE
Experience
- 5+ years of managerial experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership within a 3PL environment.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost reduction initiatives.
- Proven success in managing multi-site operations and implementing WMS systems.
- Experience in the ecommerce, B2C, or retail sectors.
- Knowledge of IMMEX programs and warehouse management policies (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO)
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and KPI-driven decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics.

- Ability to develop and mentor employees while fostering accountability.

Preferred Qualifications
