THE POSITION
The Extrusion Engineer will be reporting to the Operation Manager, the PE fill Extrusion Engineer role is directly responsible for ensuring that all processes are in control to produce parts and management of continuous process improvement plans in the areas of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance over product lines. It will be accountable for meeting and improving production line performance. Driving a culture of continuous improvement in operation is necessary for success.
Main responsibilities:
• Partners with Materials, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production Team to achieve center goals and objectives aligned with the needs of the Customer and BU targets.
• The role consists of direct responsibility for the efficient operations of production lines.
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure that manufacturing processes are meeting established KPI’s.
• Determining and implementing world class quality control mindset and standards.
• Statistically analyzes gathered data in test runs and make recommendations based upon statistical analysis.
• Creates or constructs bill of materials, process flows and process failure mode effective analysis (PFMEA)
• Ensured that health and safety regulations are met.
• Will be a direct support to the production line.
THE CANDIDATE
• Will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering. (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, etc.)
• 3-5 years’ experience in an extrusion manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in manufacturing process troubleshooting and improvement.
• Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and general statistics.
• Experience with SPC tools to control, validate and improve processes.
• Solid English verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Experience in managing technicians and engineers.
• Experience in using tools such as Six Sigma, DOE and PFMEA
