For more than two decades, the organization has built a solid presence in Mexico, supplying both pork and poultry products to industrial processors, foodservice distributors, and traditional channels.
THE POSITION
The Senior Sales Manager – Mexico (Central & South Region) will lead the commercial strategy and execution for a high-priority territory covering Mexico City, State of Mexico, Puebla, Veracruz, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Tabasco, and surrounding areas. The portfolio is heavily concentrated in pork ingredients for industrial processors (fats, skins, trimmings, etc.) used to produce chicharrón, Cecina, sausages, and other value-added products. The role also manages poultry volumes into foodservice and other channels, this position is based in Mexico City, with 40–50% travel, which means a field-intensive, office-anchored role designed for someone who thrives with customers and in the market.
Main Responsibilities
1. Grow the Business in a Strategic Territory
- Lead the commercial plan and consistently deliver annual sales, volume & profitability.
- Identify & develop high-potential industrial processors, food service distributors, and traditional channel clients.
- Increase penetration within current accounts: more SKUs, more frequency, better mix.
- Maintain a strong pipeline balancing new business and existing relationships.
2. Deepen Customer Relationships & Deliver Value
- Build long-term relationships with a wide range of customers.
- Lead technical trials, demonstrate performance, and yield advantages.
- Understand customer operations and economics to support consultative selling.
- Become a reference point in pork and poultry ingredients.
3. Demand Planning, Pricing & Allocation
- Build and defend rolling 3?month demand and pricing plans.
- Advocate for product allocation with international supply and commercial teams.
- Monitor market conditions and adjust strategy.
- Lead price negotiations balancing margin and long-term strategy.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with logistics and admin teams to ensure excellent service.
- Collaborate with international teams to resolve issues and adapt products.
- Present clear business reviews for visiting executives.
- Contribute to a competitive yet collaborative commercial culture.
5. Performance, Compliance & Reporting
- Own revenue, volume, customers, SKU penetration, profitability, forecast accuracy.
- Maintain rigorous CRM and reporting discipline.
- Uphold zero-tolerance ethics policy.
- Serve as a strong ambassador of the company’s values.
THE CANDIDATE
Experience
- 8–12+ years of B2B food industry sales experience in Mexico.
- Strong exposure to pork ingredients, poultry, or protein products.
- Experience with industrial processors, food service distributors, and traditional channels.
- 5+ years selling pork ingredients (fats, skins, trimmings, raw materials), poultry, or other protein products into industrial or foodservice markets
