Our client is a world-class company with operations worldwide in over 150 countries and over $3 Billion USD in revenue who seeks an OPEX Manager to plan and lead the implementation of the Site Transformation Program ensure the strategy is executed in a compliant and cost-effective manner.
THE POSITION
This Operational Excellence Manager will be part of the site leadership team, he/she will manage and lead the ongoing development and implementation of the site transformation strategy. Will promote and implement all aspects of the company’s production system throughout the site and extended supply chain. Will coach, mentor, and develop lean leaders at all levels throughout the site and actively advocate the adoption of lean leadership behaviors to maintain an environment where each individual and team is respected, challenged, and continually developed. Is responsible for developing and coordinating LEAN training modules specific to the team and site. Will develop the capabilities and skills of our Lean Site Champions through hands-on coaching and mentoring. Works closely with product transfer, NPI, and engineering teams to ensure that lean principles are integrated from the outset in all product transfers, new product introductions, and process automation.
Defends the site’s CIP process and ensures there is a continuous flow of new projects identified through the use of Value Stream Mapping and Daily Management systems. Coordinates site maturity assessments for business excellence and ensure recommendations are implemented in a timely manner as part of the overall site transformation plan. Actively promotes and standardizes the identification and implementation of leading best practices in the company’s global operations. Works with key suppliers to drive the adoption and implementation of lean work practices to drive greater cost, quality, and delivery performance. Ensures that all transformation changes are carried out to the highest standards in a safe, compliant, and effective manner.
1Develops and implement a fully integrated sustainable standard work program for all levels throughout the site.
THE CANDIDATE
This person will be part of the site leadership team, he/she will manage and lead the ongoing development and implementation of the site transformation strategy. He/She will work directly with all levels and groups in the organization including manufacturing operations, regional and global business excellence, and regional and global supply chain.
- Minimum of 7 years of general business experience and more than 3 years of leadership and management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, training, and implementation of Lean at multiple levels of an organization
- Experience in medical device manufacturing (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience in people management and a strong interdisciplinary business vision are required.
- Proven record of accomplishment in leading major change initiatives that have generated revolutionary results for an organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 / FDA / GMP regulations (preferred)
- Must be fluent in English / Spanish.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science. An MBA is preferable.
- Master’s Degree in Lean Operations, Process Excellence and/or Operations Management (Preferable)
- Master Black Belt Certificate (Preferable)
